Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art that stresses the importance of ground fighting for self defense as well as being a sport. Its response to any attacks whether standing or on the ground is what has made it such a popular art! Students are taught how to control and subdue any attacker using movement, joint locks and chokeholds. In our classes you will learn both the gi and nogi applications to the art.
The Brazilian Top Team was established in April of 2000 to develop and create new training techniques for jiu-jitsu, submission wrestling and mixed martial arts.
Through a strict professional work and lots of study on martial arts, Brazilian Top Team firmed itself as one of the best mixed martial arts team in the world.

In the long run the BTT will use all this infrastructure to renew its team and to train beginning fighters to become great champions.
The Brazilian Top Team dedicates entirely to the formation of new talents in martial arts. As much in jiu jitsu, muay thai, boxing and wrestling.
The team counts on its famous and experienced coaches, capable to create innumerable champions that has been formed throughout the years.
Currently the team is managed exclusively by Murilo Bustamante, one of the founders of the BTT.
Wolf Pups BJJ is our littles program aimed at ages five and six years old. We work on life skills as well as team work, hard work in and out of the gym. We make it clear that we only use jiu jitsu in case of a serious emergency . That we use jiu jitsu as self defense against someone who is hurting us. We are not here to use or learn how to fist fight but a way to learn to control a bully/attacker and be able to escape to get help. We are a team that works on positive attitutes and working hard to move ahead in life and in ranking in jiu jitsu. In return for hard work, they do earn stripes and new belts as they progress through our program over the years.
Our youth program runs from seven/eight years old up to 14 years old. We have a great mix of boys and girls in the group and it is nice that kids come from all different schools as well. We work on average 2-3 tecniques per class. We start with fun warms that relate to their jiu jitsu training followed by working technique with different partners around their age and size. After kids has been established in the class for some time, they learn how to roll or grapple with each other. When they roll with a partner they are able to put the technique they have learned into action. This better helps prepare them for the chance they ever have to use jiu jitsu in a self defense situation.
