Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is amazing for kids because it feels like an adventure every time they step on the mats! They’ll learn how to problem-solve, stay calm under pressure, and use technique instead of strength—building confidence, discipline, and respect along the way. BJJ gives kids a safe space to burn energy, make great friends, and discover just how strong and capable they really are. It’s not just a sport—it’s a fun journey that helps them grow inside and out!
Our K-3rd grade BJJ class is our littles program aimed at ages 5 - 8 years old. We work on life skills as well as team work, hard work in and out of the gym. We make it clear that we only use jiu jitsu in case of a serious emergency . That we use jiu jitsu as self defense against someone who is hurting us. We are not here to use or learn how to fist fight but a way to learn to control a bully/attacker and be able to escape to get help. We are a team that works on positive attitutes and working hard to move ahead in life and in ranking in jiu jitsu. In return for hard work, they do earn stripes and new belts as they progress through our program over the years.
We have a great mix of boys and girls in the group . It is nice that kids come from all different schools as well. We work on average 2-3 tecniques per class. We start with fun warms that relate to their jiu jitsu training followed by working technique with different partners around their age and size. After kids has been established in the class for some time, they learn how to roll or grapple with each other. When they roll with a partner they are able to put the technique they have learned into action. This better helps prepare them for the chance they ever have to use jiu jitsu in a self defense situation. We have High School kids to help assist along side our adult head coaches.
This class is open to elementary school kiddos and up. No Gi is great for more established students. :)
Fundamental jiu jitsu class focuses on teaching students the most important techniques to build a strong foundation for their jiu jitsu skills. This is a great Intro to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This class we offer to new members who have little to no experience. We offer this as an introduction to our warm ups, and to learn the positions we work in classes. Not only is this user friendly to a beginner but a class open to all to make sure they are maintaining the technique to the best of their abilities. We use a curriculum to help students and coaches maintain an understanding of the key skills needed in self defense as well as competitions. Following a curriculum allows for students to grow in their understanding by having an outline of what is worked. When a student misses a class, they are not falling behind or feeling lost because they have their syllabus. Evergreen- Monday @ 6pm. & Conifer-Tuesday @ 6pm
